Why not “spoil” the heck out of them? I nurse on demand, I pick him up as soon as I can upon the first whimper, and we bed-share! Being a first-time mom, I registered for a crib thinking that’s what people do, right? His beautiful cherry wood crib is now a storage center and diaper laundry line.

We, too, were worried about the intimacy issue but why just restrict your love life to the bedroom? ;) It works for us and plenty of other co-sleeping families.
